If you’re new to Las Cruces or you have lived here your whole life, chances are you've been down Main Street. But did you know that it used to look very different? Thanks to urban renewal, the town got a makeover in the 60’s, equipped with new businesses and remodeled buildings. By 1974, the remodeling was done. Some local businesses had to move or went out of business. Who knows what Main Street would look like today if this change had never happened!
