Most people know the Rio Grande as a major river in the state, however another beautiful river that flows through the state is the Pecos River. This river is gorgeous and offers amazing scenery. This river flows approximately 926 miles through the state and down into Texas, where it eventually meets with the Rio Grande. The Pecos river flows through some pretty major cities in the eastern part of the state including Carlsbad, Roswell, Pecos and Santa Rosa. This river is scenic and definitely worth making a trip to visit.
